EVENT LOG: GOOD GOD, Y'ALL

Day 461 ( June 9/10 ): When the Travellers wake up, they will find a message sent to every bracelet in the city:
As per the agreement between the gods and their Travellers, all persons within Asgard are humbly requested at the castle courtyard for enlistment in the Holy City's war efforts. Every individual is invited to find their resolve and seek out their purpose; this is the final stand in Ragnarok, and your help is needed now more than ever.

Enlistment is mandatory! Please see your local officials for more information.
A friendly if not a touch formal invitation to what will essentially be Asgard's job fair! A mandatory job fair. This is why we can't have nice things.

The castle courtyard and the streets leading into it will be crowded with bustling natives and several booths, not uncommon in appearance to the many festivals they've had over the last two years. This time, however, there is no music or celebration to be had. Everyone is hard at work organising their efforts for the war and doing their level best to assist in the transition.
Day 462 ( June 11/12 ): The fair will continue for two days, to give everyone time to get down there and make their decisions. Anyone that hasn't signed up by the end of this day will be visited at home by a city rep and a few guards that will politely ask them to register for a group and weaponry if they plan to carry it. Refusal will land them in jail for the day, where they will still be politely asked to please, seriously, just pick something. Anything. Uncle Odin wants you.

At the end of the fair, there will be food and drinks to thank the Travellers for their support and cooperation. Throughout the entirety of the event and for the rest of their stay, the natives will be more reverent and grateful than ever than the Travellers have chosen to stay and fight at their side. They will do anything they can to help them win this war; this evening will be one of camaraderie and appreciation for the past, present, and future sacrifices to save the World Tree.

I'll write my name down and ask. I know the medical team isn't doing anything yet... That's why I was able to come here today.

What group did you join? We can go ask them, too.

I'm on the medical team as well! Although, it seemed like it was the best option at the time.

[Pause]

And I hope it is!

In that case, it should be fine! I already checked, and they're okay with people looking around still in case there's other groups we wanted to join. We just need to make sure we're ready to work once the fair's over!

[She hurriedly goes to scribble her name down at the supply coordinators tent, pausing for only a split second before putting the pen to paper. There! All done.]

Let's see... if it's between fire and ice, do you want to go to the park? There's a lake there, so we can see if you can freeze it a little. We can try finding a branch to burn too, and if we have to we can use the lake to put it out.

I certainly hope so. It would be rather unfair for us not to leave when there is still time to reconsider! But once everything has been settled, we don't have much of a choice but to work.

[Or work as much as she knows about medicine and first aid anyway. As Hibiki wrote her name down, Fuuka wasn't so sure about signing in. After a few more seconds, she eventually signs her name.]

That sounds fine by me. I think anything to help me would be more than welcomed!

That's right. That's why we should try to figure out what your power is as soon as possible, so you can use it right away if you need it!

[And she'll start walking in the direction of the park.]

Why should I? This does seem to be the only place where I would be the most helpful.

[While Fuuka knew her powers here might not be of any use to the medical team, the problem was how she didn't want to fight in this war...]

Mhmm, let's! Hopefully we can find out soon though!

[She said as she followed behind the younger girl.]

[Thankfully, they were already somehow close to the park, so it takes relatively little time for them to get there. Hibiki will lead the way over to the pond, ignoring the insults of the flowers along the way and collecting a fallen branch.]

Okay... The way everybody uses powers here is the same no matter what your power is. You don't have to say or do anything besides focus on making something happen.

For example... My power is healing, so I just focus on wounds healing up. But since I have a hard time focusing, I like to hold my hands over the injury, that way I can imagine it better. It doesn't really do anything about the power, though.

[She holds out the stick to Fuuka.]

So... please try to imagine a small flame at the end of it?

[This wasn’t the first time that Fuuka had been to the park. Although, it was a stark difference when she first arrived. It’s amazing how a few days of living in Asgard can do to a person. Then again, that was back then when she knew so little about this world.

As she turned her attention back to Hibiki, she just raised an eyebrow.]
Oh, you mean like this? This is a little different from the powers I used back home but...

[She said as she placed her hand over the stick. This was a little different from using a Persona but the idea was still the same. You had to trust yourself in order to use your powers. If she can do it then, she can do it now.

Slowly but sure, after a few minutes have passed, there was a small smoke coming out of one of the ends]

[Hibiki's face brightens when the smoke begins to rise.]

Something's happening!

[Slowly, Fuuka's eyes widen as she saw the smoke that was appearing.]

So...this is my power. [She was in awe before looking back at her hands. It was funny. Back when she was using a Persona, she was always in the sidelines waiting for her friends to be done. While it seemed like it was enough, it always felt like she wanted to do more.

Now that she could...

She now had the ability to burn things. ...How ironic.] I...I don't believe it, I can really fight with this?

Umm... Maybe? Especially once it gets stronger-!

[Though right now, it's a little... Well. Little.]

Then what would it take for me to get stronger?

[She said as she looked back at the flame.] I'm still deciding if I want to join this war but...

[If she had to fight, she had to be prepared to protect herself at some point]

Maybe... using it a lot? I'm not actually very sure... All I know is, after a while, my power got a bit stronger. It's happened twice, now.

Using it a lot?

[She said as she looked down at her hand once more. After a mumble, she gave a sigh.]

Does it matter what kind of use it's put to? I'm not sure exactly what I can do with fire without really fighting?

[Please don't say cooking, please don't say cooking, please don't say cooking!]

I'm not really sure... I got lucky, because my power is healing.

[As for how to use fire... Hmmm!]

Maybe... lighting candles and that kind of thing?

[It... might be helpful? Or at least relaxing...]

May I ask how that will be useful for supporting?

...It might make people feel better? A-and it could be useful if there's no power...

[...Yeah, even she's got nothing.]

[Meanwhile, Fuuka gave a sigh]

It's okay, Hibiki-san, I'm sure I'll figure out something. Everyone needs fire, we'll just need to wait and see when there's a use for it...

Everyone's powers start out weak anyway, so... I'm sure if you just keep waiting and practicing, it will get better soon!

I know there wasn’t much I can do back home but if I can just help a little bit here….

[She shook her head] I’m sure that something will come up! I just need to keep on forward. I have a promise to keep after all!

[She certainly knows that feeling... She's about as useless as one can be in her own world.]

[She gave her a questioning look before smiling] Of course, it wouldn’t be right to forget about it! It’s the least I can do him after everything he’s done for us. I can’t just do nothing when I’m here, any little bit that I can do always helps!

N-no, I meant... Not being able to do anything at home.

[A-ahaha...]

But... I think that sounds like a very good promise, too!
