Day 461 ( June 9/10 )

When the Travellers wake up, they will find a message sent to every bracelet in the city:

As per the agreement between the gods and their Travellers, all persons within Asgard are humbly requested at the castle courtyard for enlistment in the Holy City's war efforts. Every individual is invited to find their resolve and seek out their purpose; this is the final stand in Ragnarok, and your help is needed now more than ever.

Enlistment is mandatory! Please see your local officials for more information.

A friendly if not a touch formal invitation to what will essentially be Asgard's job fair! A mandatory job fair. This is why we can't have nice things.

The castle courtyard and the streets leading into it will be crowded with bustling natives and several booths, not uncommon in appearance to the many festivals they've had over the last two years. This time, however, there is no music or celebration to be had. Everyone is hard at work organising their efforts for the war and doing their level best to assist in the transition.

Day 462 ( June 11/12 )

The fair will continue for two days, to give everyone time to get down there and make their decisions. Anyone that hasn't signed up by the end of this day will be visited at home by a city rep and a few guards that will politely ask them to register for a group and weaponry if they plan to carry it. Refusal will land them in jail for the day, where they will still be politely asked to please, seriously, just pick something. Anything. Uncle Odin wants you.

At the end of the fair, there will be food and drinks to thank the Travellers for their support and cooperation. Throughout the entirety of the event and for the rest of their stay, the natives will be more reverent and grateful than ever than the Travellers have chosen to stay and fight at their side. They will do anything they can to help them win this war; this evening will be one of camaraderie and appreciation for the past, present, and future sacrifices to save the World Tree.

[Maybe. Assuming that she is welcomed back to Arendelle after everything, that is. Not that she would mention that unless asked.]

I suppose. Though I hear we don't remember any of this back home once we go back. So it is rather hard to say.

[He sighed, that figured.]

Makes sense, I suppose. We can't all go back to our respective time and places, and blab about all this. Well, we could, but depending on where we are from, it may not be taken so well.

[Not that he wouldn't like to remember all this. Be something interesting to tell the guys about.]

No, we won't recall any of this. I'm not sure if that's the reason or that others from home might tell us more while we are here....I don't know how it works or the reasons. I just know that is what I am told. I did ask, once. In the hopes that we might remember.

Ah. So, if someone here is from our future, we don't go back knowing something we shouldn't.

[He could see the benefit of that. Could cause some serious trouble to go back home knowing how certain events would unfold.]

What's your favorite place here?

Yes, exactly. Which....I suppose makes sense. Even if I might wish otherwise.

[There's a small sigh and a shrug before she answers the next question, considering.]

I suppose the park or the library, mostly. I like being outside but I also love all the different books in the library too.

I've been to both. I liked the park, it was calming. The library was my favorite though.

[He smiled.]

The people I met there, the books. It was all nice.

[He laughed a little, thinking about his conversation with a blonde, duster wearing man.]

Met a guy named Spike there. He was something else. Got to ride one of his bikes.

Yes. I work at the library myself. It's nice. Peaceful, quiet. And so many books from so many different places I'd never have had a chance to read otherwise.

[There's a nod at that.] I know Spike. He....was a friend Anna, my sister, made during her time here. I met him myself when he came to pick up something she left for him after she was sent back home.

Your sister was sent back home?

[He frowned, thinking that must have been difficult to handle.]

That must be hard. Having had her here, and now she's gone.

[He didn't have any siblings, but had friends that were like brothers. He would be happy to have them here with him, and sad to see them go.]

It was....sudden. Not necessarily unexpected, I knew that others had been sent home sometimes. I guess I should have been more prepared for the idea that Anna wasn't excluded in that chance. I was naive enough to hope she would get to stay with me.

[But perhaps that is for the best. It seems things are certainly heating up more now around Asgard with the war effort....]

I'm sorry for that.

[Even though they had just met, he felt for her, as he did most people.]

Maybe you will be with her soon.

[He didn't say what he was thinking on the time difference. A certain doctor had explained that to him, and he knew that one day here wasn't equivalent back home.]

I hope so. Either she will come back here or I will go back home to her. Either way, so long as we are together again....but for now there is nothing for it but to wait.

[Which. Well. Elsa can be patient. Moreso than Anna. It's just a matter of waiting. Of time. In the end, one way or another, they would reunite.]
