EVENT LOG: GOOD GOD, Y'ALL

Who: EVERYONE
What: the Good God, Y'all mingle log.
When: Days 461-462 ( June 9-12 )
Where: the castle courtyard
Rating: PG-13. Anything higher than that should be taken to a private log, please!

Day 461 ( June 9/10 )
When the Travellers wake up, they will find a message sent to every bracelet in the city:
As per the agreement between the gods and their Travellers, all persons within Asgard are humbly requested at the castle courtyard for enlistment in the Holy City's war efforts. Every individual is invited to find their resolve and seek out their purpose; this is the final stand in Ragnarok, and your help is needed now more than ever.

Enlistment is mandatory! Please see your local officials for more information.
A friendly if not a touch formal invitation to what will essentially be Asgard's job fair! A mandatory job fair. This is why we can't have nice things.

The castle courtyard and the streets leading into it will be crowded with bustling natives and several booths, not uncommon in appearance to the many festivals they've had over the last two years. This time, however, there is no music or celebration to be had. Everyone is hard at work organising their efforts for the war and doing their level best to assist in the transition.

Day 462 ( June 11/12 )
The fair will continue for two days, to give everyone time to get down there and make their decisions. Anyone that hasn't signed up by the end of this day will be visited at home by a city rep and a few guards that will politely ask them to register for a group and weaponry if they plan to carry it. Refusal will land them in jail for the day, where they will still be politely asked to please, seriously, just pick something. Anything. Uncle Odin wants you.

At the end of the fair, there will be food and drinks to thank the Travellers for their support and cooperation. Throughout the entirety of the event and for the rest of their stay, the natives will be more reverent and grateful than ever than the Travellers have chosen to stay and fight at their side. They will do anything they can to help them win this war; this evening will be one of camaraderie and appreciation for the past, present, and future sacrifices to save the World Tree.

[ OOC NOTES: This is the mingle log for the Good God, Y'all event. Remember that all characters must be signed up for at least one group by June 12. Information on the currently established groups can be found here; sign-ups are in the comments section on the same post. Please put [OPEN/CLOSED] along with the time/location in the title of your comment. Let us know if you have any questions! ]

( Better here than home. That was a little sad to hear, but it made her wonder what would happen after. Some people had no where to go back to - either they were dead or there was something bad happening like for Clem )

What do you think will happen after it's finished? ( She wouldn't know, not unless a god had told her but- ) Do you think they'd let anyone stay here?

( Lydia would probably go home but what about the people that couldn't? )

I don't know. I'd like to hope we might get a choice on whether we stay here or go home. But whether we will get the option to stay or not.....I guess we'll see. I'm not sure if even the gods know whether we will.

[But she clings to that small hope. That slim possibility that she will get to stay here. Safer. With Lee. But there's not really a lot she can do either way. There's still everyone else to also consider. Those that want to get home.]

Well hopefully when they figure that out they'll let people know. We've helped them, it's only fair that they give that offer.

( If Asgard and all of the worlds were saved what was to stop people from staying here? They'd already been brought here, keeping everyone couldn't be any harder could it? )

[personal profile] littlesurvivor 2014-06-28 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly. That's what I would hope. The TARDIS said she would talk to them about it, but....she went home now. So I'm not so sure. But I guess we'll see. Once this is over, either way, whether we win or not.

Then we should talk to them.

( Lydia wanted to go home but clearly not everyone did. It wasn't just about people that were going to die again if they went home but people like Clementine who may want to stay )

Someone should get the answer rather than just waiting.

I don't know who. But yeah, probably. At least one of us should. I'm not sure how much thought the gods might have given to this with....everything. It'd be nice to know for sure, whether we will have the choice to stay or go home.

[Because she would give anything to stay with Lee if possible. Lee does not deserve to be sent back just to die. Nobody does. Not if Clementine can help it.]

Odin. He's in charge, and he's wise. ( That sounded like a good option, right? )

Even if they can't decide now they've been asked, and can think about it for when we've won their war.

( Because if they didn't thank them after helping that would be just rude )

[personal profile] littlesurvivor 2014-07-02 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
Sure. I figure it has to at least be worth a try. At least give them the idea and question, see what they say. If they can't figure how to send only some back, that's what happens and we get a choice. I just want to know either way what they intend on after this is over.

[At least have an answer. So she can prepare herself for it. Mentally, emotionally. Regardless of the outcome, there would be goodbyes to be said.]

Knowing something would be better than knowing nothing.

( They'd already slightly experienced that earlier when they'd lost their memories, but this was a different kind of not knowing. What would everyone she knew want to do - and what if some people from home wanted to stay but not the rest? Hopefully it wouldn't make things worse )

Maybe they'll show up to this.
