Day 461 ( June 9/10 )

When the Travellers wake up, they will find a message sent to every bracelet in the city:

As per the agreement between the gods and their Travellers, all persons within Asgard are humbly requested at the castle courtyard for enlistment in the Holy City's war efforts. Every individual is invited to find their resolve and seek out their purpose; this is the final stand in Ragnarok, and your help is needed now more than ever.

Enlistment is mandatory! Please see your local officials for more information.

A friendly if not a touch formal invitation to what will essentially be Asgard's job fair! A mandatory job fair. This is why we can't have nice things.

The castle courtyard and the streets leading into it will be crowded with bustling natives and several booths, not uncommon in appearance to the many festivals they've had over the last two years. This time, however, there is no music or celebration to be had. Everyone is hard at work organising their efforts for the war and doing their level best to assist in the transition.

Day 462 ( June 11/12 )

The fair will continue for two days, to give everyone time to get down there and make their decisions. Anyone that hasn't signed up by the end of this day will be visited at home by a city rep and a few guards that will politely ask them to register for a group and weaponry if they plan to carry it. Refusal will land them in jail for the day, where they will still be politely asked to please, seriously, just pick something. Anything. Uncle Odin wants you.

At the end of the fair, there will be food and drinks to thank the Travellers for their support and cooperation. Throughout the entirety of the event and for the rest of their stay, the natives will be more reverent and grateful than ever than the Travellers have chosen to stay and fight at their side. They will do anything they can to help them win this war; this evening will be one of camaraderie and appreciation for the past, present, and future sacrifices to save the World Tree.

Yeah, they're really tasty. I usually get one on the way home from school since I'm not allowed to cook when my parents aren't home. [It doesn't even come to mind that he probably has no clue what she's talking about, because burritos.]

Really?!? They're really good. I'm sure someone knows how to make them, if so I'll let Ame-kun try one.

They don't have them anymore, but when they were my age they did. There aren't many adults that still have their ears other than Hitome-sensei.

I'd like that. [ Ame's tail wags a bit. He isn't a food expert, but he likes to try new things from time to time ]

When someone finds another that they really like they give give that person their innocence and lose their ears. Which is why usually adults don't have them. Because they've. . . [nope she couldn't say it.]

W-well mom said that when two people really like one another they have a special relationship and they kiss and do other stuff to each other.

[Nope there was no way she could blush anymore. She didn't really know the full details of what 'the act' was but she had some idea of it.]

[That hadn't been quite the reaction she had expected, so Yuiko couldn't help but chuckle a little. She had forgotten that Ame was actually younger since he had always seemed pretty mature.]

There are some adults who keep theirs though too, Seimei-san still has his, and there are a few of the teachers at the school who do.

I think there are a lot of people who think that, so they keep their ears. Though of them still go on dates and stuff.

Everyone says that we'll understand when we're older and can make the decision on our own.

[Yuiko kind of thought she was really cute with hers though and didn't really want to lose, but at the same time maybe if it was that special someone.]

Thanks, I like Ame-kun's too. It must be really nice to not have to worry about losing them when you become an adult.

Oh, but what days are you going to be on each committee. Maybe I can bring you lunch even when you're working on the other one.

I'm already an adult. As wolf. [ it's complicated. But yes, Ame is technically an adult wolf. ]

I will try to patrol at least a couple of hours a day, during the afternoon, but it's not all day. And the welcoming committee is more active we new people arrive.

[ as for lunch ] We can have lunch together. [ so she won't have to always look for him, they could just meet at lunch time ]

That doesn't sound too bad. I thought there would be a schedule of when everyone had to do stuff like patrol.

In that case we can meet up wherever you end you patrols each day.
