Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

Welcome to Lux, the bar owned by the Devil himself.

You didn't scar him for life, did you?

[glistens]

Probably.

[wasthemaster]

You sound far too proud of yourself. ...good. [He smirks, reaching behind the bar to take the drink from the bartender and turning to make his way through the crowd again.]

[corona]

I -- Huh? [ She feels prouder for that, proud if confused. And now she's stumbling to keep up after having fallen behind again in her confusion. ] Wait! Why - Why "good"?

[wasthemaster]

[Still walking, but he'll throw an answer over his shoulder.] Because it means there's still more to you than I expected.

[corona]

[ Pursing lips in determination, she weaves through the crowd as though it's a dance, making a game of catching up to him before she at last does. ]

What did you think of me before?

[wasthemaster]

[There's still a grin on his face by the time she reaches his side again, and he's taking a sip of the daiquiri before he's pulling them both back outside of the bar to head back to the balcony they were at.] Just that you were determined, but not necessarily a force to be reckoned with. Think I know better now.

[glistens]

A force to be reckoned with. [ That makes her stand straight, puts bit more confidence in her expression. Enough that she leans over to take her own sip of the daquiri again without asking. ] I wish Mother could hear you say that.

[wasthemaster]

Tell you what. [He pauses, waiting for her to finish before rewarding her with a pointed glare. Manners, Rapunzel.] If your mother turns up, I'll tell her right to her face. She won't be that surprised, will she?

[corona]

[ Ignoring that glare for another moment of astonishment, more subtle this time. ]

You'd really do that for me? [ the question goes unanswered for the moment ]

[wasthemaster]

[A small shrug, followed by a nod.] You make it sound like it's a big deal. [After all, if there's one thing Draco loves, it's telling people that they're wrong.]

[corona]

Yes! Oh. I mean. [ cough ] Yes. It is a big deal. Mother will be very surprised.

[wasthemaster]

I bet she will. Can't wait to meet her then.

[glistens]

[ The idea of Gothel coming to Asgard though...

For some reason it worries her more than she feels it would've ten days ago. And that worries her too. Makes her feel guilty enough that she takes another drink - this one much longer than the last. And when she's through she nods weakly. ]

Yeah. Can't wait. You know you were supposed to tell me about your school right? That...was the whole reason we went outside?

[wasthemaster]

[He pulls the drink back, giving her a look.] Really should have got you your own.

...right. School. Well what exactly do you want to know about? I've told you about the Houses and the lessons. What parts didn't you understand?

[corona]

Oh no, I...I understood. I just want to know more, I guess. About you. I mean -- Pfft. [ She makes a derisive snort. ] People probably ask you that a lot back home, huh?

[wasthemaster]

[The smirk he tries to pull off is more like a grimace than anything.] More often than you think. There are a few people in my world that are a bit too nosy for their own good. [No really, it was almost unbearable when the roles flipped and it was Potter who was stalking him around the school.] For the most part though, a lot of the people I know back home are my kind. You know, other wizards and witches. They already know about our world and about my family. My father's quite well known. [Just...not necessarily for good reasons.]

But I'm not the one most people are after, believe it or not.

[corona]

So...there's someone that is? Sought after. [ This is an interesting turn; for all he'd been willing to talk to her about his world and her world and her chair-tying prowess, he hadn't spoken much of the other people in his world, and her curiosity is obvious. ]

[wasthemaster]

..Undesirable number one. [It's muttered, very quietly as though he's trying to convince himself that it's all still quite real. That everything is still happening at home.] ...his name's Harry. [And judging by the look on his face, it's a very foreign and strange thing to say the boy's first name.] Potter. Harry Potter. He's been sought after for many reasons over his entire life. It's disgusting.

[corona]

Why? [ No elaboration there; whether she means to ask about Harry's notoriety or why it's disgusting is entirely ambiguous. ]

[wasthemaster]

All of them can be lumped into two actual reasons. [And he holds up a hand to tick off on his fingers as he lists said-reasons.] First of all, he's famous, or infamous. Depending on how you look at it. We all grew up hearing stories about him ever since we were small children. And secondly? He's the only one who can supposedly save our world.

[glistens]

[ that was unexpected ]

What -- why? What did he do that everyone's heard of him? And why is he the only one?

[wasthemaster]

...there are good wizards, and there are bad wizards. Potter survived a curse a bad wizard used to try and kill him. It's a killing curse, and the berk survived it. That's why. To both of those. That's the main reason why. Harry Potter, the bloody Boy Who Lived.

[corona]

Why...does it sound like you think that's a bad thing?

[wasthemaster]

I'm not exactly his number one fan.
