[OPEN] Love Me, Love Me Not

[In the middle of the night (or rather the early, early morning), there's a sound somewhat like falling hail. It only lasts a couple of seconds, and is followed by the howl of a single big gust of wind that seems to get through the cracks of windows and doors no matter how well closed or locked they were.

It seems the rain was a shower of candy hearts, and they'll be cropping up all over the place all day!

What could this possibly mean?]

Hmmm... [The effects of the candy wear off pretty quickly, but he's not really sure if the hug (from Jade's POV) is supposed to be done yet.]

It's just annoying, and it's probably why they made me human for today too.

[ She pulls back after a moment, smiling gently. ]

You need to get cleaned up.

[Alright, letting go now and ready to follow.] Is it really that bad?

[Although it probably doesn't look as bad as the normal cracks in his skin he gets from damage or fatigue.]

It's not that bad, no! It's just scratched up.

[ He's human again, though-- so she's reaching for his hand. ]

[Hand-holding time again? He can deal with that, although his fingers twitch a moment before ??? decides to return the grip.]

Oh, okay. You made it sound like I was going to die or something.

[nukeoleptic]

No-- I just worry a lot, you know that.

[ She'll wait at the door for him to unlock it. ]

Funny...because I do. [Not telepathy-wise though.

He reaches into his pocket (with his hand going a lot further than the actual size of the pocket) before pulling out the regular house key to open the door and push it open wider for them to both walk through.]

Warning you-- I have no clue where Nina put the medical supplies.

[nukeoleptic]

[ She notices the way his hand submerges itself into her pocket, but refrains from mentioning it for now. ]

It's okay. I'll take a look, anyway, and if I need to I'll just run to my place.

[key_illusion]

Alright. Just don't--

[Oh no. ???'s going to immediately freeze in place after a few steps in once he glances to the floor.]

Be careful. They're here too. [Just when he thought he was safe. At least there's not that many.]

They got inside? Whoah, that really-

[ Crunch.


She whirls and pinches his arm. :| ]

Wh- ow!

[So it's that kind, huh? He better do some cleaning up before Nina gets home, but he ends up taking an automatic step back and how the heck did they get behind him? Crunch.

Well, he's doing the exact opposite of what he wants now since ???'s stepping forward and shoving at her shoulders with a good amount of force.]

Sorry-- this sucks.

[ Jade, not expecting it, topples right onto her butt and shoots him a sour look. Somehow, she managed to not crush any, but her expression is a little sour as she stands up and rubs her backside sorely. ]

Owww, Sunny. You look for the first aid kit and I'll sweep.

[key_illusion]

Just be glad I don't have my swords on me. [He's...legitimately serious about that, but it's mumbled a little under his breath as he passes her. He's not too happy this either but at least he's careful about heading towards the bathroom.]

Broom's in the kitchen.

I wouldn't have let you stab me, relax.

[ She's kind of just scooting her feet as she heads to the kitchen to seek the broom out, though. ]

Okay... [No, that isn't something he would easily relax about, but he's not going near his room anytime soon. So after a bit of rummaging around the bathroom, he ends up collecting a tube up antiseptic (took him awhile to recognize it) and a washcloth that he ends up tossing onto the couch.]

[nukeoleptic]

[ She's sweeping up the candy hearts when he returns to the living room, casting a sideways glance to the couch- oh! Well, that would certainly do. ]

Perfect. Come here? And hold still.

[ Jade moves to grab the washcloth and antiseptic, treading on a heart as she does. She rolls her eyes and plants a kiss to the side of his head. ]

This might sting a little.

[key_illusion]

[Ffff-- first she's getting a hand smooshed against her face for a second. It's sort of automatic now, but at least he's not trying to shove her head away.]

.......I've gotten worse than stings. [Like being punched in the face by Lea. That's why there's a bit of bruising among the scrapes.]

[ It's the same reason why she whimpers when he shoves his hand against her face; neither Roxy nor Riku had pulled their punches. ]

Yeah, well, me too, but I thought it'd be nice to warn you.

Alright, thanks. [Yeah...just taking his hand back now and turning his abused cheek towards her.]

You were right about Riku, by the way. [ Her tone is light as she gently cleans the blood from his face with the rag, and then moves to apply the cream. ] He decked me earlier today. It was- kind of hilarious, after the fact.

[key_illusion]

...Is that why your face hurt? [When he touched it, he means.]

Yep. Him and Roxy- neither of them meant it, though, it was just the stupid hearts.

[ She hums softly, carefully inspecting his cheek. ]

You're bruised, too.

[key_illusion]

[He nods a little, although he's not quite feeling up to giving all the details. Especially with the fact that he kind of deserved it.] It was an accident too.

Some of the stuff that happens here really sucks. But-- there. You should be good.

...Thanks. I'll try not to touch it. [Which shouldn't be a problem considering he's going to drug himself up soon.]
