Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

Just a bit spacier than usual, though I'm still trying to determine what your 'usual' is. Or the alcohol and the fumes are getting to you.

Hm. I don't know if I have a usual yet. [ and another long(er) sip ] Alcohol did always seem to make Mother a little funny. Am I funny?

[wasthemaster]

[Heyheyhey, save some for him. He'll take a sip once she's finished.] Funny's a word I'd use, yeah. [Along with some others.] Maybe a bit...I don't know, quirky. It's not bad, actually, slightly endearing.

[corona]

Endearing... [ She furrows her brow.

...Then after a moment does it again because it's kind of an odd expression and that never really occurred to her how much so. ] What does that mean?

[wasthemaster]

It's like...[Hmm. How to explain this one...he's focusing first on the drink in his hand, then on the city before returning his attention to Rapunzel to answer.] Essentially? It's just another word for charming. Likable. Whatever.

[corona]

Oh. Hm. [ It's probably quite rude, but she pushes up on her toes and takes another measurable swallow before considering that.

When she's through, her smile is very very wide. ] That's great! You're endearing too, Draco! The way you act all bristly? [ she nods sagely ] Very charming.

[wasthemaster]

[He stares at her again for a few moments before he suddenly laughs, if only because of how serious she is.] You think I'm bristly? [She's definitely not wrong, but it's still kind of funny to hear from someone else.] I'm not a hedgehog.

[corona]

You are totally a hedgehog. [ Though she says it a bit distractedly, looking around as if some waiter might suddenly appear with more drinks. ] You could win awards probably for how bristly you try to be. Loads even.

[wasthemaster]

Rapunzel, do you even know what a hedgehog looks like? Think about it. [Well you could just ask and Draco would be happy to go back and get another..she'd been right, strawberry daiquiris are kind of great.] I don't know if those are awards I'd want in the first place.

[glistens]

[ She snorts, firing back with a huffy: ] Do you even know what an award looks like? I think being a hedgehog would be kind of sweet. You could curl up if you were scared and no one would bother you. [ - before plucking the glass out of his hands again and finishing it off SORRY BRO. ]

[wasthemaster]

Of course I know what an award looks like. [He's seen plenty of them slip right out of his hands. Why? Because Harry Potter.] I'd rather be a person than a hedgeh--hey. [That was entirely uncalled for.]

...I think you owe me a new one.

[glistens]

You know. [ This after she's sure she got all of it - including the slush that found its way onto her nose when she pressed the glass stupidly against her face. ] I think you're right. You can have an award for that. That's a very good idea.

[wasthemaster]

[...shaking his head. That's all he really can do, isn't it?] I get an award for using logic? How thoughtful. [He looks back toward the entrance to the bar.] You really want to go back into that?

[glistens]

No. But I really want another strawberry daiquiri.

[ He also gets a nudge for his using logic because her body is starting to feel oddly warm and she feels so much braver than she did ten minutes ago. It was, after all, her second drink. Third counting the glass of wine she never finished. ] Come on. You're a wizard. If I can handle some silly people you totally can. [ grin ] You're strong.

[wasthemaster]

[Though he's not nearly as affected as she is, seeing how he only got about half of the drink in him before Rapunzel swiped the rest, he is a bit more relaxed now and doesn't seem to mind. However he can't help but lift both of his eyebrows at the statement.]

I'm strong. Because I'm a wizard? [If only you knew.] If I go inside and come back out here, am I going to find you still waiting for me?

[glistens]

[ That is a totally legit question so she holds out her hand a fourth time, nodding to cement her resolve. ] Here. I'll go with you. Fair?

[wasthemaster]

[And he grabs for it because why not.] Fair. Then again, if I did lose you at least I'd have my drink to myself.

[corona]

[ If her nudge is a little harder this time she isn't going to admit to it. ] Don't be rude. I can still take your award away, you know.

[wasthemaster]

Ow, hey. [He'll just use his elbow to nudge her back, moving his hand so it wraps around her wrist loosely as he pulls her back toward the entrance of the bar.] You could, but you won't. I already know you won't because otherwise you won't get another daiquiri.

[corona]

Oh. [ He's right. That gets her to shut up, to nod earnestly in following along. Even if the cogs in her head are turning...

Because then she gasps and looks up sharply, jaw falling slack. ] You're blackmailing me!!

[wasthemaster]

[Just a grin.] I would hardly call this blackmailing. Call it outwitting with logic.

[corona]

[ she scowls ] Underhanded logic...

[wasthemaster]

Guess you'll just have to learn how to outsmart me, won't you?

[glistens]

I'm not going to have to learn anything. I already know all I need to know.

[ He's still getting her the drink, after all. ]

[wasthemaster]

[He's convinced himself it's because he'll get most of it this time.] And what is it that you know? [And they're rounding the corner about now, the entrance in sight.]
