You mean, how to be claimed by another god? You don't.

Well, I suppose you could try to appeal to Sigyn to give you to one of the other gods. But...considering that question would probably be upsetting to her, I have a feeling the answer would be "no".

Why? What's wrong with Sigyn? She's a lovely woman. At least you're not stuck with that ass Baldr.

[A pause, while Whale just mentally counts to five. when he speaks again, his words are tense.]

I am stuck with that ass Baldr. I want to get into Sigyn's house.

Oh. I see.

[He tries not to be amused by the whole situation. Still, he can't help but chuckle.]

Then you truly are doomed, I'm afraid.

I take it Baldr's not one of the more friendly gods?

No, I'm afraid not. I don't usually call someone an ass lightly.

[He used to say it about Thor, but then Thor risked his life to protect everyone and rescue them from the alternate Asgard, and so he at least gets the respect of not being called names.]

I must say, besides my friend Turlough being a bit uncomfortable being in Hel house because of the connections with death, you're the first person I've seen who's so keen on swapping houses.

It's less that I want to swap houses, more like I want to swap powers. I heard that Sigyn has the healing powers: I'm a doctor, healing powers would help.

[at least, they'd help more than flying would.]

Ah, I see. Yes, they would help, I agree. However all of the powers have some use. Even those with Growth. Find one particularly powerful in the power, and they could provide you with helpful medicinal plants.

[He raises an eyebrow.]

So, you're a doctor...but they felt you were more suited to Baldr. I wonder why that is.

[Well, he could guess, but it would be rude to say it out loud. Besides, it isn't exactly fair. One of his other selves is in Baldr.]

[Whale couldn't help but give the Doctor a Look as he mentioned medicinal plants. Were they back in the dark ages? Even in his land before the curse, he was used to working with chemicals, given to produce a certain reaction.

At the Doctor's question, Whale shrugged.] I've found that nothing is making sense here.

[Eight raises an eyebrow at the mans skeptical look.]

Even aspirin is derived from the bark of the willow tree. Morphine comes from a poppy. You'd be surprised how many medicines come from plants, doctor.

And...well, no. Very little makes sense at first, but you get used to it.

And slather aloe on something if you've got a burn. I know. [mostly because he lived through part of it, heeeey there land without color.] I'm simply used to more advanced techniques.

[as the Doctor mentioned 'getting used to it,' Whale couldn't help but let out a little huff. He didn't want to get used to it. He wanted to be home, back in his PROPER home, and not stuck in yet another world that he couldn't escape from.] I don't really have a choice, do I.

Oh, I'm sure there are plenty of modern tools in the Hospital. You could always check with them and see if they have any positions open for another physician.

[Eight gives him a shrug. He personally doesn't want to go home and is perfectly content with the power he has, but obviously others wouldn't be so lucky.]

I'm afraid not.

Time to stop by the hospital and ask for a job, [Whale remarked, grinning slightly.]
