My task was to observe and record our history, from the 17th century to the 21st. We have been affected in unusual ways.

I see that events have gone badly wrong. How these things happened and what we must do is... unclear.

What have you been told?

That this universe's time is ending but the gods of Asgard refuse to accept it. The Ice Queen is trying to speed it up. That the world tree is dying. That the grey illness is caused by something unknown, but honestly it's very likely related to this whole universe and world tree dying thing.

Whether or not any of that is true - but the grey illness definitely is - these people need our help. The Ice Queen has no regard for life and before this world can see peace she might be, at the very least, stripped of her throne.

Who is the Ice Queen? What purpose does destroying the universe she exists in serve?

Rebirth, I suppose. Rather than just nurture what they've got right now. Or that might be what it was at first, but honestly I wonder if that's the case anymore. The Ice Queen is Thiazi. She's the ruler of the Frost Giants and one of the oldest beings on this planet. Possibly this whole universe. She's cunning and clever and a lot less straight forward with her tactics than the Fire King. Those two are basically rivals, from my understanding, even if they want the same thing.

An individual with the power to recreate their universe could potentially create a new one, instead. I have seen it spoken of, theoretically. It is... strange that those two have not considered it.

I think it's got more to do with natural cycles, to be honest. I don't know. I'm getting an idea, but it's complicated.
