Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

[Oh Rapunzel.] Then I suppose I'll definitely have to try one. [And he will order one once they get up to the bar because you know what, why not.]

Eee! [ In the end she has to cover her mouth to keep from squealing again after that initial squeak. But it doesn't keep her from hopping in place as she watches the bartender. ] Trust me. It's. Amazing.

[wasthemaster]

I'll be the judge of that. You're not getting one too, are you?

[glistens]

[ just. smiles ]

We could always share.

[wasthemaster]

...[He is so amused right now but also ten shades of wary.]

Do I look like the type to share, Rapunzel?

Mm hm!

[wasthemaster]

[...he'll just take his drink from the bartender who's finished it up, look at Rapunzel, look at the drink and sigh.]

Just this once, and don't you dare tell anyone about it. Shall we head outside?

[corona]

Sure. [ shrug ] I don't know why I would tell anyone about it. Who would I tell?

[wasthemaster]

You never know. Everyone wants to know the innerworkings of Draco Malfoy. [Still sarcastic, but how can anyone be taken seriously when holding a girly fruity drink? He motions for her to follow, briefly touching her wrist to get her to move forward as he heads for the doors of the bar. Outside. Outside is a very good goal.]

[glistens]

[ It takes a lot of willpower not to roll her eyes, and in the end she doesn't manage it, waiting until he's behind her to do so.

Outside is like a completely different world. Less sound, less light. Less people. Much less crazy-making. ]

[wasthemaster]

[The lack of sound and light definitely makes him relax and he's pausing then, glancing around the area for a bench or something to sit on.] Don't tell me we're going to have to sit on the ground...

[corona]

I love sitting on the ground. [ Happily, she spins around to face him as she walks backwards along the sidewalk. ] Buuut I think there tables. There's an outdoor part of this place too. Did you know? Diva showed me.

[wasthemaster]

I didn't know. Where are they, then? And who's Diva?

[corona]

[ reachin' again for dat hand ] Over here. She's my friend! A very, very good friend. I'm surprised you don't know one another. She seems to know everyone...

[wasthemaster]

[Just going to sip that drink and assume she's lost it and allow that to happen. ..huh, not bad.] Perhaps I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her yet, but I will. Later.

[corona]

[ Going round the corner leads to a double-back, taking them not into an alley but to the balcony area outside the bar where there are low tables and a view of the city. It's familiar enough to Rapunzel from earlier, but she still sort of stares. ]

It's really nice here. Isn't it?

[wasthemaster]

[For someone who hadn't been out there yet, it was kind of remarkable what sort of view the bar gave them of the whole city. He breaks off, heading for the railing of the balcony to lean on and look down around.]

What, the balcony, or the city? [From here it didn't look bad, no. Having another sip of his drink there...] Both are okay, I guess.

[corona]

They are. [ Smiling a goofy little smile, she reaches over to grab for the top of the glass. ] Okay. They're both very, very...okay.

[wasthemaster]

[And he's letting her take it against his better judgment.] Are you okay?

[corona]

Huh? Oh. Yes. Why? [ Thinking about it, this startles her into uncertainty, and she reaches self-consciously for her hair. Parties are new. Parties are different. She could've done something completely wrong and have no idea... ] Do I not seem okay?

[wasthemaster]

Just a bit spacier than usual, though I'm still trying to determine what your 'usual' is. Or the alcohol and the fumes are getting to you.

[corona]

Hm. I don't know if I have a usual yet. [ and another long(er) sip ] Alcohol did always seem to make Mother a little funny. Am I funny?

[wasthemaster]

[Heyheyhey, save some for him. He'll take a sip once she's finished.] Funny's a word I'd use, yeah. [Along with some others.] Maybe a bit...I don't know, quirky. It's not bad, actually, slightly endearing.
