We have not named ourselves any one thing. We... were human, but have enhanced ourselves with technology.

However most of it has ceased to work since I arrived.

I feel myself moving slower as well as thinking slower. I cannot move through time, observe the future, or read the other people to know their intentions. The technology has not been removed, only... suppressed inside me.

Well. It's in the name. I watch over time, make sure people don't mess with it or break its rules, etc. etc.

Yes, I understand. I have no title, but I have repaired mistakes in timelines.

How do you do that, exactly?

I inadvertently sent off a chain of events that would have ended in a young boy's death. We were able to save the boy... although in doing so, his father did something that was slowly degrading the entire universe. Some time later, it was necessary for us to reset the timeline to before my mistake, so that the universe was not damaged and I was not the cause of any deaths.

[Ask an honest question, get an honest answer. He's something like grateful that it all worked out, in the end.]
