September / Odin, the Great Library / D400
[This really is the most exciting thing that's happened to him in years, not that it shows much at all in his body language or expression. Forget finding his room or a place to eat, can he live in the library?]
/SMASHES IN
Or keeping her mind preoccupied on less... stranger things. To stretch her legs. And just procrastinate on returning to her own district. The last time she was here, Rapunzel and Alice had tried to find what they could on the life tree to no avail.
He could have been a statue at first. Although statues don't exactly seem that colorful. How he's going through the books has Alice at the very least glancing over.]

Kind, as in, being a little too much of a nuisance for her own good.]
... Are you lost?

[Lost just doesn't happen to him. He remembers every street he passes.]

[Looking up, endlessly curious, and making room for the Doctor to pass.] My apologies.

[ Not like it was his fault or anything.
He sidles around with every intention of continuing, but stops when he sees what September is reading. Instead, he stops there, basically leaning against September's back, and raises a hand to point at the book. ]
I was looking for that.
[ Or at least now that he's seen it, he wants it. ]
no subject
I am almost finished.
[In fact, if he keeps the Doctor talking a few minutes, he will be. Then he'll hand it over. No fuss.]

She's settled on the top of a bookshelf, her body curled up in a ball as she watches people move through the library It's seeing the person she does not recognize that she shifts her body, peering down at him with curious eyes.]

Yes, I am new.

Is it interesting? [She doesn't doubt him for a minute. Time Lords had the capability of reading at speeds faster than a human.]
no subject
Very much so.

It's difficult to miss the newcomer, with how fast he's flipping through the books. As he works his way down the shelves towards her she gets more and more curious -- is he reading or skimming or just being really weird? ]
They've got a card catalog here, y'know.

[He fails to get her point.]

D400
He was certainly living up to the task. In North's hands was a high stack of books he had pulled from the shelves. Their subjects were a diverse group: ranging from titles about the Gods themselves, Giants, to locations outside of Asgard. The stack was also quite heavy. Though North didn't have any difficulty holding them, it did unfortunately make it harder to move through the aisles.
Still, North should have been able to avoid bumping into a man practically speed-reading through the books, right? Wrong. At just the moment North was carefully moving around, the stack started to tip slightly. Quickly, North walked a little forward to straighten out the leaning tower. Unfortunately, it also meant North colliding into September a tad. And of course, a few books also decided to fall to the ground thanks to the newest movement. Nice save, huh?]
Ah! So sorry, my friend. Was not my intention.
no subject
[He picks up the fallen books, helpfully, putting his aside.]
Would you like a cart?
no subject
Instead, North nods and helps pick up some of the books with a small chuckle.]
Ha! Thank you for your help my friend. Yes, yes. That would be best idea now I think.
no subject
There is one two aisles over. Are you a new arrival?
[No pause between these two different sentences. His mind works fast.]
